Taking care of your bundles

Our Hair extensions are High quality 100% human hair. These pieces are an investment in your beautiful image and we want to make sure you are well equipped to maintain your hair to get the maximum benefit.

When you receive your bundles: Your hair will arrive in a satin bag. Satin or silk is essential to reducing friction and keeping your bundles in amazing shape. We recommend you use a satin or silk bonnet and/or a satin or silk pillow case after installation.

Co-washing is a recommended practice. This 100% human hair will look amazing when you pull it out of the satin bag and you will experience minimal shedding and tangling, However, co-washing will further enhance the natural texture of the hair and further minimize tangling. Co-washing is done in 3 very easy steps:

  1. Emerge the hair in water and saturate with leave-in conditioner. Set bundles to the side saturated in conditioner for 5-10 minutes.
  2. Use a wide tooth comb to detangle. When you detangle with a wide tooth comb, always start from the ends of the hair and comb continuously working your way toward the weft. Do not start at the weft and comb toward the ends. The same detangling tactic applies when your bundles are installed.
  3. Air dry the hair for 6-8 hours.

Stay Tangle free: Sleep with a satin bonnet and/or a satin pillow case to reduce friction while you sleep. Sleeping on a cotton pillow case will create a lot of friction and extract the natural moisture from your hair leading to damage.

Leave-in conditioner is recommended  - When needed, wet hair and detangle with a wide tooth comb using a light leave-in conditioner.

Using Heat: You always want to be cautious when using heated tools to style your hair. Heat can be damaging if used too often or in excess. However, this is human hair so it will withstand heat and color.

We recommend opting for a lower heat setting to prolong the lifespan of your hair. While our own hair may be able to handle a high heat setting, our hair is also constantly getting revitalized from the scalp, whereas hair extensions don't get that sort of nutrition. We don’t recommend blow-drying your extensions after every wash as doing this constantly will make them dry and more vulnerable to breakage.

Deep Conditioning: Every few weeks your hair may be in the need of a deep conditioning treatment. We recommend you either book an appointment with your local hair stylist for a deep conditioning treatment or do it your self. If you do it yourself, be sure to rinse your hair thoroughly. When you are all done, dry your hair with a towel or microfiber towel to remove all excess water, and allow your hair to air dry.
